The chances of getting a white cub are lower, but it surely will be healthy and able to produce healthy offspring. All zoos try to get a white tiger, because they attract people and provide income.

Tiger body parts are valuable in Asian traditional medicine and poaching for the pelts and other body parts is a problem. Keeping tigers as pets is not a good idea not only because of their endangered status, but rather due to their fierce nature. It’s impossible to turn such a strong predator into an affectionate family companion. Still, these animals are kept in some estates as a matter of prestige.
