White animals do not belong to a separate species; they are a rare color variety of Bengal species. Strange as it may seem, in Siberia, there are no such animals registered, but having a white coat would be very useful there. White animals that live in tropical forests or in grassy areas face difficulties when hunting. Such a color makes them more conspicuous for the prey. The larger size of these animals makes the situation worse: they need more prey, but have less opportunities to hunt. May be, that’s why such animals are in the minority; the nature culls them as poorely adapted creatures.

These ferocious predators begin the hunt at dusk and usually patrol water holes or grazing places waiting for deer and other prey. Sometimes, tigers unite for a kill and then share the quarry according to their status. The today’s geographic range of tigers includes China, Russia (Siberia,) Sumatra, Bangladesh and India, but not long ago these animals were found in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran and other parts of Indonesia. All tigers are in danger of extinction because of habitat destruction and poaching.
